Nathan Hilding

Co-founder

As a co-founder, Nate’s responsibilities include site acquisition, concept development, banking relations, and business licensing.

His keen eye for detail and accuracy are integral to the financial health of the business, and his perspective, insight, and vision are invaluable as Bottleneck Management expands.

Teaming Up

Nate graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University. Upon graduating, he took a sales position with Van Kampen American Capital (presently Invesco). It was there that he formed his first business alliance with Chris Bisaillon, teaming with him to cover a territory. After a year at Van Kampen, Nate left to work in the service industry to gain the knowledge he knew was essential for owning and operating restaurants and bars. Familiarizing himself with various roles throughout the industry over several years equipped him to open Trace in Wrigleyville (Chicago) in 2001 with Jason Akemann.

Outside of Work

In addition to his role with Bottleneck Management, Nate sits on the Board of St. Rita of Cassia High School located on Chicago’s South Side. He has also held board seats with The Chicago Hospitality Association, The West Town Chamber of Commerce, and The Bucktown/Wicker Park Chamber of Commerce. Nate currently resides in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife Jennifer and their three children.
