Kevin O’Brien

Kevin serves as the Vice President of Information Technology for Bottleneck Management. He is responsible for all technology initiatives, platforms and services in the company. He partners with the lines of business to help improve operational efficiency and provide an optimal guest experience.

Background

Kevin is a Chicago native, having lived in and around the Chicago area his entire life. While attending Purdue University for mechanical engineering, he started working in the hospitality industry and discovered an affinity for the interpersonal interaction between coworkers and guests. His “grown-up” career began working for Odyssey Cruises, running their inbound reservations center. It was his aptitude for technology that had him transitioned to leading their technology initiatives. As the company grew from one dinner boat in one city, to over 150 dinner & water taxi boats in 20+ cities, Kevin’s continued focus on aligning technology with their business needs helped secure that growth and success. Kevin moved to Bottleneck Management in September 2020, bringing with him, 30+ years of industry knowledge to add to their already very-talented and experienced senior leadership team. He is enthusiastic about contributing his efforts toward the continued growth and success of Bottleneck Management.

Outside of Work

Kevin’s passions outside of work include reading, tinkering with new technologies, growing his faith through service at his local church, and spending time with his family.  He also enjoys playing just about any sport (although he’s not very good at any of them), running and working out in an attempt to ward off entropy.
