Vice President of Training and Development

As the Vice President of Training and Development, Kendra creates and implements all training initiatives across the Bottleneck Management brands with a focus on Hospitality and Operational Excellence.


Background

Kendra started her 22-year career in the service industry working at a senior living facility serving the residents while she attended high school. It was then she realized her passion for making people feel special by connecting with them. In college, she started working in full-service dining as a server trainer and bartender for Ruby Tuesday.

After college, she began her 15-year career with Yard House restaurants. She started as an hourly team member where she held positions as a server trainer, bartender and traveling trainer. She went into management and held positions as an AGM then transitioned into the training department where she became the first-ever Director of New Restaurant Openings. In this role, she created a training program and procedures that resulted in the opening of 30 new restaurants.

After her time with the training department, she was a general manager for 4 years.

Outside of Work

Outside of work she enjoys time with her boyfriend and 2 dogs, curating charcuterie boards and is an avid traveler. While at the University of Missouri she had a full scholarship to play softball and enjoys anything competitive.
