Cory Hoekstra

Director of Operations

Cory joined Bottleneck in 2019 as the opening Executive Chef for City Works at Disney Springs. Since then, he’s played a key role in shaping our culinary program, taking on the Senior Executive Chef role and supporting several restaurants across the company.


Background

Cory’s culinary career began flipping burgers at a national chain, and from there, he worked his way up through the ranks. He’s cooked in cities all over the U.S., including Portland (both Oregon and Maine!), Juneau, AK and Orlando, FL. Before joining Bottleneck, Cory was a Chef at Universal Orlando Resort and also worked with Levy Restaurants at Walt Disney World and Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse near Portland, OR.


Outside of Work

Cory loves heading back to the Pacific Northwest whenever he can—eating, drinking, and exploring what he calls the most beautiful part of the country. At home, he’s all about quality time with his wife and daughter, whether it’s a beach day or a last-minute trip to a local theme park.
