Background

Aileen has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Her first job was as a junior auditor in an accounting firm, which was bought by Arthur Andersen & Company in 1985. Hence, her migration to the U.S. the following year

Her entire 30+ years career has been in accounting and finance and she was once part of a team that customized a company’s operating system. For over 5 years, she was the accountant of 13 restaurant locations at O’Hare International Airport prior to working with Bottleneck Management.

Outside of Work

Aileen’s spare time is spent tending to her garden until she gets a close encounter with worms, then her husband or son ends up putting away her scattered gardening tools. She loves to cook, too. However, cooking doesn’t seem to love her back, but her husband appreciates it.

She also loves Chicago sports, with her favorite being hockey and football coming in second. However, she is an avid fan of Michael Jordan and no one could drag her away from watching every Chicago Bulls game during that era. It was during that time when she got to know all the names of the Saints in heaven, they came in handy when the Bulls were behind. She says some may call it hoarding, but she has a collection of newspaper write-ups on all six championship trophies.
