Where are you from?
Cedar Lake, IN.
What is your role at Bottleneck?
Director of Kitchen Operations for Core Restaurants.
What do you enjoy about your job?
Aside from the great group of people I work with, I love being a part of a growing company and knowing that my input has potential to shape the future of Bottleneck Management.
What do you do when you are not at work?
After working in the city for several years, I have just actually moved to the city so my time as of late has been exploring my new neighborhood, especially the restaurants that are plentiful in my area.
How did you discover Bottleneck Management?
Like those before me, my story is a long one in my discovery of Bottleneck. The short version is Operations Manager Jordan Gibrick was beginning a new management position at Sweetwater and told a mutual friend that they were looking for Kitchen help. This mutual friend knew I was in the market and informed me of the Sweetwater hiring. I applied for line cook position, was hired and quickly moved up with the company over the next few years until I reached my current position.
What do you enjoy about working with the team/company?
Simply put, these are my best friends. The sense of family in this company is greater than any company I have worked for in the past. Everyone is genuine and extremely talented in their positions. I truly love to go to work everyday.
Current favorite drink?
A good ol’ Cuba Libre with a lime (Rum & Coke).
What is something that people probably don’t know about you?
I was a very active member in the Drama Club and appeared in pretty much every high school production. Let’s just say if the office ever got a hold of my year books, they would have a field day.
Favorite TV/Movie Quote?
“Are you gonna bark all day little doggie? Or are you gonna bite?” – Mr. Blonde – Reservoir Dogs
Biggest party foul?
Being the first one to crash.
Favorites food(s)?
If it swims in water there’s a great chance I’m going to like it. Salmon is my absolute favorite.
